 | Writing I am an aspiring
writer. I write bad poetry, have several novels in the works, and a
screenplay. I am also very much a student of observation and
response. Some of my writings are more scholarly such as a history of
St. Augustine and observations and commentary on the world in which we live.

| Family I am very interested in
family. I am married to a wonderful and patient woman. We
currently have four children. Two dogs and two cats. My plan is
to add two children to the mix and see where life takes us.

| Education One should never stop
learning. One should never stop trying to improve themselves. I
am a student of learning. My current goal and drive is to teach.
I am sure my students will have as much to teach me as I will them.

| Travel Most people like to
travel. I love to travel, as does my wife. London is one of the
best cities in the world and I very much enjoyed my time there. Given
a choice, I would move there, or Edinborough, or Killarney. Ireland is
perhaps the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I could not go
wrong if I were to make Ireland my home.

| Literature I am an avid reader,
though I don't read as fast as I would like. I read almost everything
though I enjoy more than anything a good fantasy or mystery. Histories
and biographies would be next on the list. And then of course there
are the classics.

| History I am a student of
history. My true joy is mediaeval history. It was a of
discovery and intrigue, political and social upheaval, religious and
national pride and war. At no time have the events of any time rivaled
the roughly 1200 years of the mediaeval period. It is where national
identity for most of us came from. Second to this is classical
history. Philosophy and knowledge, politics and progress, war and
peace all found their true start in this period where life was everyday
something for which to be grateful.

| Philosophy You cannot be a student of
Literature and History without being a student of Philosophy. I am not
well-versed in who said what or came up with what concept. However, I
do have a grasp on different philosophies throughout the world, religious
and political, personal and public. It is amazing how they all can
come together on one subject and be so far apart on others. But
welcome to the world of free thinking.

| Clan The Donnachaidh name is a dead
name. That is to say that there are no Donnachaidhs left who haven't
had the name reclaimed at some time in their past. They might have
done it, or a parent, or grandparent. But there is no direct
line. However, it is a proud Scottish heritage. The Donnachaidh
is the precursor to the Duncan and the Robertson. It is a nice and
rich heritage.

| Television I am an avid but critical
fan of television. I am sorry for the creation of cable and the new
networks that have come out of it. It was nice to have only three
major stations because it meant the best programming would be
available. unfortunately that is no longer true.

| Movies As critical as I am with
television, I am more so with movies. It is amazing what kind of
garbage gets put out today. And yet we go watch it (myself
included). Quite watching crap and they will quite putting it
out. If they continually lose money they won't be able to afford to
make movies.

| Music Of the production arts, music
is probably lowest on my list. I love listening to music. I
enjoy concerts. I am learning to play violin. I would love to
write songs but so far they are just bad. I would love to sing, but my
voice requires training. It is a good voice. It just needs
training.

| Games All my life through good times
and bad there have been games to give me an escape, a release. As
such, I truly love games. I play quite a few and like to collect them
even if they never get played. I enjoy online games as well as
computer and table top. Each has something rich to offer.

| Projects Here and there I have
been known to make something. Lisa is much more physically artistic
than I am. My crafts tend to run more to the small hands on pretty
projects to bond with her and the big projects like building or repairing a
house or a car. Currently I am working on a place for my dogs to live.

| Photography Some would say that
photography is an art or a craft and they would be right. But I
separate it not because I disagree, but because it is a greater interest
than the others. I have no training for the camera. I do not
know how to use one. But I have a good eye and as soon as I take a
course, I will be a photographer.

| Sports I enjoy participating in
sports, but I am only good at a few. I was on a baseball when I
was young at two different periods in my life. I sat the bench most of
the time. I swam, ran, played tennis, even golf. I am more of a
sports watcher than player. But I still enjoy and still like to
try. A couple of surgeries and I'll be trying again. But I did
run the Peachtree Road Race in 2004. I was nearly 260 lbs, but I made
it. Now I am down to 210 lbs. Injuries prevent me from running
this year, but I will in 2006.
